Pólo 101 | Základy

Field polo is played with two teams of four players, the field is 300 yards long and 160 yards wide, and is the largest field in organized sport. The goal posts at each end are 24 feet apart and a minimum of 10 feet high. Lower goal tournaments are usually composed of four chukkas whilst higher goal tournaments are usually composed of 6 chukkas; this is done to allow those with fewer horses to be able to participate. Horses are changed after each chukka and no horse can be ridden twice in consecutive chukkas.
